    Slider/carb idea

Okay i was sitting there about to make my new bong which when its done ill post picks (SICK) and i thought what if i combined the process of the slider and the proccess of the carb and made the Plug. the plug is this.......What if i drilled the hole for the carb but didnt put my thumb over it but put something that would fit in the carb hole that was airtight but still be able to slide it out. kinda like a slider kinda like a carb ....what do you all think?.

coool, sounds nice. but im a bit stoned and kinda confused... so you HAVE something OVER the carb on ur bong so u dont have to keep ur thumb there and when u want the carb to be open u just slide it back?

Eh, I think it would be hard to find something to plug it tha would be air tight but still easily slide out when you are sucking on it.

I was thinking a chuck key for changing drill bits might work, Crazy- what i meant was like to put something into the hole like a small metal rod and then when you want to clear it pull it out.

I think that is simply over complicating the matter. the beauty of your thumb is that it never gets lost, easily covers most holes air tight, and can be removed and added on again with ease.

Why fix it if it ain't broke, ay?

But isnt it easier to just pull your thumb off? That way your hand can remain holding the bong without using extra fingers to take out the plug.

And when I am hitting a piece, I like to hold the carb down for abotu 10 seconds, then release, then hold it down for another couple, then release the final time. That would be hard with a little plug that had to placed in and out, especially since it would need to fit rather snugly...
