Self-Contained Fire Sprinkler
I'm currently working on my 1st growroom and I'm trying to work out every possible scenario. So far everything is going ok and at the moment I don't think the possibility of a fire is very likely. BUT I can never be to sure. So basically I'm asking if anyone has/had a sprinkler system set up in their growroom and how you went about getting it installed. The room I'm using has a floorspace of roughly 10x8 feet and a very high ceiling. I think one sprinkler head would do the trick, but I don't want to go through the hassle of having one professionally installed through my plumbing system. Does anyone know of a self-contained sprinkler system under $500 for a small room? Or is it possible to build one?

DO NOT use water, you need a chemical fire retardant to put out an electrical fire if one were to occur.
That's all I've got to say.

I don't know enough about fire systems to help you out any further, hopefully someone else can.

You need one of those kind they install under commercial hoods in restaurants. I cannot remember the name of them to save my azz at the moment tho. I know they are very expensive, need professional installation, and checked yearly as well. Not very practical in your case. But, they are self contained and meant for chemical/electrical fires. And in the event it does go off, what a mess ya got to clean up, cause that white powder in them goes all over the damn place.
