The problem isn't too many people fucking (literally)... the problem is the distribution and production capabilities.

If we develop better of these, the Earth can (and will) support much more people... something around 20-30 billion people, if I remember the number correctly.

There's sufficient solar power for the world's needs... but we don't have the cheap/good tech to harvest it. Same goes for or food supplies.

newsflash #2... most scientists agree that solar power will never be a viable solution to our energy needs... solar panels that harvest energy from the sun inadvertantly affect surrounding whether environments because the energy that was formerly used to "heat" the ground giving us warmth would instead be stored as energy... there was a figure saying that a solar field (full of solar panels to collect energy) the size of a couple of miles in diameter would change the weather for an entire area the size of Texas (e.g. making texas go from hot weather cold weather)
