i have a quistion which light would hps light would be better for a small closet 150 hps or 400 hps i want the 400 but cant the closet catch on fire if i use that and how close can the light be to the wall

I reckon you could use 400, the heat difference from 250-400 is not noticable. The extra watts would be well worth it. Ventilation is a must.

My vote is more wattage. More photons equals more weed. Fire not a problem if you keep the light cool. Even if you didn't, I don't think a 400 watter could start a fire if it was sitting on a piece of dry wood with pitch in it. I have a 3 x 3 x 8 closet and just switched from 400 to 600.
