Hey Cyrax, this method definetly works, but get a cultivator to place the kids in. It'll protect them from frost, bugs and larger aminals until they're big enough to fight them. I started my seeds on Wednesday and planted them today in this mini-greenhouse. Not braggin', but I just had a 100% germination rate, 20 of 20imp:
