decompressing bud?

I just bought a QP and it came really really compressed and a friend of mine told me to dip it in soda and it will somehow decompress...to me it sounds stupid so i was wondering if there was any other way of doing this?

Wtf will dipping it in soda do? Then it will just be compressed, wet, and sticky. A grinder does wonders to get that "fluffy" texture, if you don't have one, then just spread the bud, make sure to remove all the stems and seeds and such. It should get a bit fluffier, but not as much as a grinder will do.

usually when i buy bud it comes as compressed as you can get it and you just gotta break it up chunk after chunk get the big stems out cause I wouldnt worry about getting every little stem out expecially if your gonna sale cause you "sale what you buy" or youll lose money you coulda had

spread it out with your fingers if you dip it in soda it would weight more and be sticky youd be pissed at yourself and id laugh
