doesnt look like the plastics is comming into contact with any of the burning. so i would say its ok if the smoke is just passing thru the palstic tube. its pretty cool and u could probably put some bud in the end where the metal piece is and use it as one hitter as long as the palstic didnt melt or get too hot. what about smell tho, after awhile it will start to reek and someone would smell it b4 they even began to question what it is
