When you turn 40 plus and try to find some pot, it is almost impossible. Especially if you are new to the area and don't know anyone! The looks, the suspicion, it sucks. I don't go to bars, I don't want to hover in parks, and it makes me so angry that a plant here on Earth is illegal for me to grow!!!! AAARRRGGGGGG... Straight in WA

man, sorry to hear it beta...i'm 'older' as well, i don't know your situation but i can offer these two suggestions. this may sound a bit extreme but i will garautee you will be able to score some bud...take a part-time job as either a restaraunt worker or some form of construction. both of those two occupations have the largest smoker to worker ratio i've ever encountered...it's quite remarkable, almost all of them smoke. then after you make some new friends, return to your normal life with a few prized phone numbers.

Good advice but my family will not understand if they see me working at the restaurant or construction.:-) I'm 50 (smoke weed since 18) and fresh in this conservative area (upstate NY). So it is a problem for me to get in touch with the right people. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

kaneh bos, i think your best option is hittin' the bars and looking for stoney lookin' people, bikers, old hippies, etc. buy 'em a few drinks and drop some hints. i have used this before and had success when i moved into a new area where i had zero hook-ups. go to the bars on nights when live music is being played and pick bands that would attract the crowd your looking for. good luck!

gotta give you a hell yeah on that one. i recently moved here from a small town and have no connection here. it's a college town (the college i attended over 20 yrs ago) and if you pull a stunt such as hanging in a bar and asking ??? here all you get is suspicion. i make the two hour journey every three weeks back to my hometown to score a fresh 1/4. otherwise, i continue to look for new sources close by. what pisses me off is having to smoke the skunky assed dirtweed when i know all the exotic stuff is right over there in a dorm room on campus somewhere. thankfully, i made the journey yesterday and he had some fairly good green. it's got me buzzing to the point of rambling nonsense now. heh heh.

meet your neighbors man, and shit, ask em what they think about medical maryjane laws and what-not. Make drug related conversation and their feelings about it will come out and give u an idea on if they toke er not. If the neighbors have kids, they might be able to hook you up if you hook them up =oP

lol i always talk to everyone about weed im just say somethin like "so what do you think about marijuana?" like this is one of my best convo starters lol and well if they say its cool and they smoke or something well go on with it or if they are just againist be like o me too! lol or if they just say i dont really have opionon just say like do you condone(sp) it? that got me a dealer then agian tho im only 15 so it might not work for everyone
