I need some advice please....

:stoned: I have 3 plants that are about 18" high. I have a 3'X3'X5' closet that I'm growing in. I'm still at 22/2 hrs. I've heard that the plant will grow twice as big in the flowering stage. Should I change the lights to 12/12 now? My husband thinks we should let them grow some more, but I don't want them to run out of room. Also is there any chance I could tell the sex now? We thought we saw the female part of the plant growing, could be wishful thinking. Any help would be great. I'll try to get pics on here.:dance: :dance:

Well pics would help us to know if the plants were in preflowering.

The plants can double, or even tripple in size, so you wnna do it before they good too high.

I'd say put them into 12/12 now and in 1 -2 weeks you'll know what ones are females and what ones need to be cut...

Just make sure you dont run outta room, and make sure if the plants doubled the tips dont come anywhere near the light, otherwise you'll burn up your main colas

What kind of light are you using?

How close is the light to the plants..?

The plants are really gonna explode when you switch tp 12/12.. if it is your first time growing.. you will be very very pleasantly suuprised how much they GROW when flowering is induced..

:stoned: I don't know how much these pictures are going to help. I'm truly a beginner when it comes to this. Also I don't know what the nodes are. We're using 60w CFL's I did switch the lights to 12/12. Is it true the males grow taller faster? Thanks for the help.:dance: :dance:

The pic on the left and right some of the leaves look to have some small spots on them can you take a picture of the leaf up close and take a pic of the leaf backside you may have mites or a mag deficency.
As far as sex I cant tell from your pictures. Give it some time in a bit of time males are most noticable for thier ball sacks.

Those are some good looking plants. That should give you a decent yeild . congrats for the first grow! As for the sex of the plant since you switched to 12/12 soon you should either see balls or hairs heres a pic to help

YOU better flower now...
actually you should clone the shit outta them.. CLone them down to about 8 inches tall.. then let them grow for 5-10 days and then flower..

either way

FLOWER very very soon.. your plants are very big for just using CFL's

You could also tie them down... way down.. basicallly fold them in half.. very gently so they dont snap.. then add a few more CFL"s and flower..
