The Dangers of milk and dairy what you didnt know

If you live in the United States and consume milk, cheese, butter and icecream then this affects you.

In 1950 the average dairy cow was producing 2000lbs. of milk per year. Today the average dairy cow is producing 20,000lbs. per year with top producers reaching the 40,000lb/year mark.

How was this accomplished? By the use of rBGH, (recombinant bovine growth hormone). This chemical was developed by the chemical giant, Monsanto, the same company who developed DDT, agent orange and round-up weed killer among many.

In 1989 when Monsanto reached the approval process in congress they had to demonstrate the test results on animals, (rats in this case), It was never tested on humans and the long term health consequences were unknown.
When asked to submit the rat report they refused to present it to the FDA.
When asked of the health effects to the public it was stated the health effects were "manageable". Keep in mind cancer and other diseases are "manageable". Since two former execs of Monsanto sat on the board of the FDA it was relatively easy to green light this substance through.

Dont think for a second that the FDA, (food and drug administration) is there to keep you safe. I personally can no longer tell the difference between a Government entity and a corporation. The FDA seems to be comprised of ex industry officials that are heavily influenced by power positions or money from lobbyists within the industry.

When Monsanto tried to get rBGH approved in Canada the "rat report" had been stolen and leaked. They saw just how bad this stuff was and denied its use in Canada. All Euro nations have banned its use and the only countries that use it are the United States, Mexico and Brasil. It is used extensively in the United states. In fact it was just announced in March of 2006 that Monsanto would be ramping up production of rBGH.

    So what about rBGH?

    Well the problems are many.

rBGH was bioengineered using the E-Coli bacteria and the amino acid, Methithionine spliced into it. When injected into the cow it causes the cows pituitary gland of the brain to enlarge abnormally. Many times the cows udders become so big that the cow cant get off the ground.

It is well known in the commercial dairy industry that cows injected with rBGH will develope "mastitis". This is chronic infections of the udder. The hooves are also infected as well.

To combat this infection problem the average cow will recieve up to 200 antibiotic shots in its lifetime with up to 52 different types of antibiotics, some of these antibiotics are illegal for use and are not monitored by anyone.
What happens to the antibiotics when the reach your milk? Homogenization does nothing to stop these residues from accumulating in your liver.

    Brilliant!

AS a result of chronic infections the cows body produces somatic cells in the udder, (pus cells).

When the commercial dairys couldnt stay below the maximum allowable count for bacteria and pus cells the FDA simply raised the allowable amount instead of making the dairies conform to protect the public.

This is a good example of a how much power corporations hold over our Government which should be a non-influenced entity that is seperate and biased toward the health of the public. Supreme court Justice Clarence Thomas was the attorney for Monsanto at the time of the approval process.
Thats how you go from attorney to Supreme Court Justice.

So why doesnt the public know about this. Well Monsanto threatens, bullies and sues any dairy that labels its milk "rBGH free". In effect by doing so sends a strong message that they DONT want you to know whats in it.
They have also changed the laws in a handful of states to quench free speech about informing the public about the issue.

So just what is "allowed" by the FDA to be in your milk?

    1 cup=

    4,731,600 live bacteria
    177,441,150 pus cells

And you thought homongenization meant clean. lol

    The residue of rBGH.
The residue of the 52 antibiotics.
Vitamin d-3 primarily extracted from pigs skin and sold to dairies.

Probably the worst thing due to the rBGH injections is the skyrocketing amount of IGF-1, (insulin growth factor). It is 10 times higher in the milk after the injections due to manipulating the pituitary gland of the cow.
IGF-1 is a precursor to breast, colon and prostate cancer and acts like a fuel cell for these cancers. That is a well known fact in the medical world.
IGF-1 is implicated in being the "trigger" that starts diabetes as it spikes insulin after consumption.

In breast cancer among women, high levels of estrogen are always found. The reason is that during milk collection these cows are milked regardless of whether they are pregnant or not. During a cow's pregnancy this estrogen loaded milk is collected.

Milk is batch mixed regionally in large containers so it all ends up the same with the same substances contaminating even the organic milk mixed from other dairies.

Aside from the the rBGH use the milk is still loaded with up to 59 types of active hormones with a chemical message that acts on the human body, these are active until processed and eliminated by the human liver.

The fat cells from rBGH milk is an altered form of fat, it is in effect more fatty than non-rBGH milk. This should explain the obesity problem in the United States as it is now 1 in 4 Americans are obese.

Many times these cows are so stressed from continually giving milk year round, very unnatural for the animal, and the scores of hormones to manipulate birthing cycles, abortions, etc, that the cows become diseased to the point it cant stand up. 40 percent of the meat supply comes from cows in the dairy industry. Alot of these cows are "downers" sick and diseased.

Milk is a very unhealthy substance. Despite the industry lies that you need it for strong bones due calcium is simply not true. Calcium can only be absorbed with its partner magnesium. Magnesium is so very low in cows milk that you can only absorb about 11%. Your best source for calcium is dark green vegetables. Just look at a 1200lb steer. Where did those big bones come from? Green vegetation with minerals from the soil.

Who made up this "food pyramid" in the United States? Industry lobbyists.
To say that milk is essential to your survival is a flat out lie.

Butter, icecream, and cheese are more so concentrated with the things I mentioned because it takes 10 times the amount of milk to make these derrivative products. Therefore these substances are even more concentrated in these residues.

To learn all about this issue and why it was to be kept secret from the public please read:

    www.organicconsumers.org/rbghlink.html

On this site you can find the most information about this topic as well as find an organic meat supplier in your area by entering in your zip code.
My advice would be to anyone to discontinue dairy and derrivatives. Yet to maintain a protien source consume meat or chicken which is certified organic antibiotic free, growth hormone free and free range fed.

yeh u guys didnt know that? cows utters arent naturally that huge. they are given steroids so that their body continues to think they're pregnant and produce more milk.

so next time you say that you dont approve of commercial cow milking, and your smartass friend says "your doing the cow a favor by milking it, they're in pain if you dont" then you say "fuck u dumbass, maybe if their pumped full of steriods. in nature cows only need to be milked when their pregnant."

ps. if you drink milk bc its healthy for you, then dont buy it in clear containers. The vitamins in milk are photosensative, and if their exposed to light then they become useless.

I switched to goats' milk, and I only use that for coffee, so I go through about one quart a week It tastes just as good as cow milk, and is heathier. In fact, goat milk is consumed by more people in the world than cows'. It's more expensive.

I also use Vances DariFree, which is a milk substitute made from potao. It's fat fee, cholesterol, lactose and gluten free, and an all-around better choice than dairy - and cheaper, too.

Isn't that also why so many children are entering puberty at earlier ages? Like i remember there was this girl in 3rd grade when i was a kid and she had boobs. And not cause she was fat. She also drank a lot of milk. Thank you for informing me of this.

Thats correct. Glad you brought up that point of girls maturing at a younger age.

It is due to the high amount of growth hormones in milk, dairy derrivatives and meat. These residues are active and unchanged in the homongenization process. Ive noticed the same thing in society long before I stumbled across these articles and wondered about that myself.

These hormones and antibiotic residues are very harmful. When a Doctor cant stop an infection with 1st, 2nd, and thrid generation antibiotics it tells me that the person is already desensitized by the antibiotic through consuming it in the milk and dairy along with the pathogens as they mutate rapidy. This why commercial dairies using rBGH have to use so many antibiotics is due to mutating pathogens. Illegal antibiotics have no place in what we consume.

Bottom line this is all about money. production units per cow. Thats all they care about. Not your health not mine.
