That is ironic...he was the highest ranking in Europe. I respect your opinion..but how could our President have allowed 9-11 to happen? That day..just to sad to even read about sometimes...much less have lived through it and wonder if your Government could have prevented it..I don't see how President Bush at the time could have done anything more than he did...and if they hate us (Americans) so badly I HAVE to believe our Government would do whatever it takes to stop another 9-11. Sometimes I really despise the powers that be (the control) but if our Country was really being deprived of liberties then we wouldn't even have the net to discuss it right? did you watch the videos... I'm not saying bush knew they did it I'm saying he was involved in doing it... just google 9/11 and you'll see half the posts are about the cover-up and the involvment of Bush... that's why he has the been spying on everyone.

I don't think Bush expected the internet to boom as it has... you must remember the internet was booming at the end of clinton's term... then Bush got in and it stayed in only a few peoples control, much like television... but, yes since anyone can post anything now and the internet population is booming more information is getting out there... I mean none of us got our news from online 5 years ago... but now everyone bloggs or posts... it really has boomed and it's because of that Bush is at 32% approval... You don't go from 90% to 32% in 4 years because of nothing... it's because people realize we live in a business state and the seperation between the rich and poor is huge... so they've gone online and are talking about it more... But Bush still wants to cover that up... just look at the NSA case with AT&T as well as the bill he's pushing in congress to mandate approvals for each webpage. He's trying to control the information that is out there and it's the least american thing he is doing... Mainly why Fingold has censured him

This is the first time Bin Laden has said anything about the American people instead of our government... I find that odd... why would he hate all of us, yet wait till we have been attacking him to finially say we are as responsible as our leaders are?? I just think that a lot of coverage of them has been protrayed a bit wrong... They don't just hate us to hate us, they are human...

Hi Gumby...okay...I thought I had figured out where I "stood" on President Bush....but now again I read about more restrictions and invasions on Americans.....but when I start getting angry I remember what someone on here told me about that day and then I feel like he has to do what he is doing...I admit it...I don't get politics I just know how my heart feels when I read or see most "news" about the ENTIRE world these days...not just America. Did you know that background checks are just now being done on apprx. 400,000 port workers?!! I would consider it differently if this had been done before now...but something like having tamper-resistant identification cards for almost 1 million American Workers at our ports and background checks should have been done a long time ago IF this was really being done in the name of protecting us from Terrorists. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union leaders have agreed to turn over membership lists that the Government will compare with names on their (feds) terrorist watch list...like a "name" on a list is going to stop them from killing more Americans...I mean this is just saying...we are stupid? I would rather be told that giving up ALL my personal info just to work in this country is what is really going on than for us to be told this is in our best interest at this late stage...do you understand this?

I think this whole term has been Bush using words to his advantage... I'm thinking that's what you are meaning... After 9/11 if we were in such a great threat you wouldn't expect such weak borders 4 years later. I mean do you think you can walk into Iraq and get a job for $15 an hour?? If we are involved in a global war we should protect ourselves first.

I think it's the lack of acountability in this adminisration that has driven me to believe that they destroyed the WTC towers, flew a missle into the pentagon and blamed it on 'terrorist'. I mean Jeb Bush and Cheeny had planned it, or an act like Pearl Harbor, before it happened... and since then they have gained more power than any other leader in the history of our country... and that's not democracy.

But what really pissed me off was when they did not allow Cat Stevens to fly into america because his name was one that list... he is my favorite singer/songwritter ever. Explain to me how a guy who writes Peace Train is a terrorist...

I am hoping Tony Snow will be a little better at getting a messge out than Scotty.... perhaps they will be more open and honest with the people, but I doubt it... they love their secrects... and I only think people keep secrects cause they are hiding something bad not something good...
