Why would we need a leader? I think we could handle issues in a more-or-less directly democratic fashion.

RULES!

There is enough food and drug resources.
We have shelter but there are certain dangers--aligators, nutria, wild boar, snakes.
The climate is hot and humid. Proper attire will need to be made. Bedake has his walkman and we manage to rig a sound system. We need farmers, hunters, fisherman, cooks, builders. Anyway there are a lot of decisions to be made.
