nvm im just a retard, but about that HPS, it would be nice if you wanted to grow some small plants, maybe in a 4X4 closet or something. but i really doubt you could get anything amazing with these. i do like the idea of no ballast though

Shit yeah.

A compact HPS with individual bulbs representing different ends of the spectrum? That's great! I think it'd make a good replacement to CFLs, vegetative and flowering.

I really don't see why anyone would see any advantage of that, over CFLs, and certainly not 4-foot flourescents ... people getting excited about it, and you don't even know the lumen output, let alone the prices ... whatever blows your skirt up, I guess ... .... :smokin:

^^^ Regarding the new HPS bulb...

I think it's good. I mean, of course a 400W is better... but, as was said here, you can place 4, 5, or 6 of these bulbs... imagine the possibilities!

I posted pics of these about a year ago. Some people tried them and said they put out a lot of heat. From the people that used them it seemed like they weren't that beneficial. Same company.
