CFLs would be the better option in that low a space for a new grower worried about problems, Garden is right about that.

I use a 150 HPS and sometimes CFLs in a space that's no more than 2' x 2' x 3', so it's easy to see where temperature control may be a bit arduous. To add to that, I like growing Sativa dominant strains in that little space -- which is LoL. That's all I have to say about that.

Good ventilation and airflow is also another key element.

Think about it -- how do those PC server case growers fit a 70 - 100 watt HPS in that little fucking cab and manage to keep it within an optimum range?

Read up on SCRoG, I recommend it. Also LST [ Low Stress Training ], HST [ High Stress Training ], and SoG [ Sea of Green ].

With proper training you cannot fail. It's impossible.
