I usually "read between the lines" when I do watch "news"....I stopped watching Fox for the majority..after Katrina and what happened to white people in the Dome was covered up..played down and just outright lies told..it just went away..not even talked about anymore...and the Convention center..can't believe I almost left that out.

i hate fox... it's really bad, after reading the paper (the washington post and gainesville sun) you realize what they leave out and how they slant the stories. The best news show on TV is Countdown on MSNBC 8 et. ... he's great and has great guests. They get to talk on his show too, not like 5 people yelling at each other.. he actually talks to people. Hardball is ok as well... I watch a lot a cspan though... try to get the press secrectary everyday, can't wait till douche bag Snow starts, i'm gonna miss the doughboy...

I think all of the news failed with Katrina... I live close and was going to move there in August, but they do not show the damage. They don't show the corruption. It looks like a bomb hit, it stinks like holy hell and the houses that are there and habitable have just gone up in value. So the poor either have to go to a house that was underwater or not move back. I mean how do they expect poor people to build a house?? They are poor... The news really did a bad job showing how many people lost everything...

Its like people dont get it...this country is still a SOCIAL CLASS Country..the poor keep fighting each other and the rich keep getting richer...seriously..Nagin talking about a chocolate city..what does that mean? And looks like he will still be in the game from what I have been reading. And I know for a fact I have seen hundreds of trailers sitting in huge fields just rotting away..while some have no family or any where to go...why? And trailers are still being paid for by FEMA (well..taxpayers) to be dropped and left to rot.. Democrats and Republicans should be ashamed..they have power and do not use it for good...neither party seems to give a darn about anything but who did who and who is right or wrong..the poor people in this country should be effectively communicating and creating reform instead of playing Joe Friday for the Government and hating each other...I will have to watch cspan..I seriously do not watch much television unless its a recording I choose to watch..who is doughboy? Yes I am learning new things here..instead of shopping okay.

The best part about the trailers that thet did use is that they are not suitable for hurricanes so if on is heading that direction they must get out. even a one or 2 could be dangerous. Fema just reported that they gave out over a million dollars to the wrong people... Glad they were put incharge

I think the middle class is waking up and the internet is helping a lot... it's allowing for more information to be brought up... I just hope people can understand that they need to lean towards the middle. The news is leaning more against the Government as well, which although they are just as biased at least they are changing from supporting Bush.

Doughboy is Scott McClellan, the old press secretary. Snow was a Fox reoprter who will be replacing him... ironic he's from Fox?? Scott was the main thing I watched on cspan, the house and senate can get boring when the get into proceedural things. But everyone should really listen to the Press Secretary in the mornings... I mean it's what the president is doing, it's pretty important information... the fact that people don't watch it is one reason the middle class is so out of touch with government... people really need to get more involved.
