Well yeah I'm pretty sure when I was young I had a crush on one or two of my slighly-older female cousins. I'm sure you're right that those kind of feelings are not uncommon, especially for little kids who don't "know" that it's "wrong" yet. I guess I'm thinking more like cousins step-siblings than parents and actual siblings. It's weird that so many people aren't taking the question seriously, lol everyone's just like "HELL NO!!!"

I know a girl who was attracted to her step brother for a while, but I think that's more possible when you're only meeting them for the first time when you're older (doesn't work if you grow up with them around and have psychological issues of treating them like a regular sibling). And even THAT wouldn't be WRONG necessarily: it used to be a question on a famous test of what kind of thinking about ethics you have. It's like this: if a brother and sister decide to have consensual sex one day, they use birth control, and although neither of them regret it afterwards, they decide not to do it again. They live completely normal and happy lives and they are happy that they did it. Is it wrong? Of course, it's hard to say how or why it would be, since they don't coerce or harm each other or anybody else, it's just one form of consensual sex between adults.

Incest is just a weird societal taboo, which I will never engage in because it IS so weird in our culture--I feel like family relations have a special purpose and a certain psychological role in our lives that should probably stay that way--but there is nothing harmful or wrong about it in itself...
