I just 'acquired' the album and I've given it a couple listens. I've been a fan of Tool since way back, but I dunno... I think it coulda been better. CocaCola is right in saying that Vicarious sounds like Schism.. it really does. That'd be awesome if this album were a late April Fool's joke.

I just don't like the fans that will buy whatever the artist puts out and then they 'learn to love it'.. even if maybe they never liked it at all. People hate to criticize their favorite bands. But I think Tool/Maynard can do better than this.. well, I know they can. Bleh.. It's kinda catchy, I do like a few songs.. but it's def. my least fav. Tool album.
zephyrinne Reviewed by zephyrinne on . The new Tool album is a joke. Please, the band doesn't want you to support this album... download it and hear it for yourself. Listen to the grand scheme... It's literally a joke, isn't it? I mean, it sounds like it... it's abysmal. Especially for a Tool album, it's REALLY bad. And Vicarious sounds like Schism reversed... gay. If you buy this album, you're not Tool fan... you're a Tool fan boy, and the band doesn't like you. The best part of the album is the mantra chanted during Intension and that's the only part Rating: 5
