The best part of the album is the mantra chanted during Intension and that's the only part that seems to have any thought put into it... well, it all seems like it does... but it's quite funny... if you know the Tool FAQ well enough, you might notice all the contradictions in this "10,000 Days". (LOL)

I like that... it's like you can't accept it or you you can't see it for the shit it is because hey, it's TOOOOL the greatest band ever!1 They probably still are one of the best but it seems to me that they like to fuck around with you sheep and that's hopefully what this album is... an actual joke... because man it sucks... the concept is lost... and the fact that it's constructed as a concept album makes it all the more funny. I just 'acquired' the album and I've given it a couple listens. I've been a fan of Tool since way back, but I dunno... I think it coulda been better. CocaCola is right in saying that Vicarious sounds like Schism.. it really does. That'd be awesome if this album were a late April Fool's joke.

I just don't like the fans that will buy whatever the artist puts out and then they 'learn to love it'.. even if maybe they never liked it at all. People hate to criticize their favorite bands. But I think Tool/Maynard can do better than this.. well, I know they can. Bleh.. It's kinda catchy, I do like a few songs.. but it's def. my least fav. Tool album.

Oh well, at least someone has heard the album and judged it accordingly. Trust me, I wanted to like it as well... But after hearing the single I knew it wasn't going to have the natural progression that Tool has had since the beginning... they are just going to branch off and ruin their sound by trying to sound like others ie Meshuggah... Plus APC really fucked over Maynards lyrics... plus his vocal range has diminished, which didn't really surprise me at all since it was starting to happen during Lateralus... BUT his range has nothing to with how awesome his vocals were on the earlier albums... and Dans drums are ruined... and plus now it's VERY appearnt the he's using electric kits (Which he has been since forever but now he is using it as actual electric drums and not with the finess from the previous albums) And all those gay solos?? I mean, what the hell has Adam thinking? Awesome effects... could have been used welll but nope... WAHHH WAAOOHHH WHEEEE WAHHHH WIDDILY WAAAOHHHAHHH...

And I love the concept of these fucking songs... The Pot? WHAT THE FUCK? YA MUST A BEEN SOOOO... HIIIGH... Blah, sounds like Tool trying to be Clutch. Rosetta Stoned? Sunkist and Sudafed, goddamn, shit the bed? Oh so you're fucking Meth fiend now? What is the point? And what does Rosetta Stoned mean? Is that a character in this story? And Wings For Marie... I know it's about his mom and it's personal, whatever... MAYNARD, HEY... YOU SUCK AT WRITING PERSONAL LYRICS... and plus the song drones on forever (like most of the softer songs.. like Right In Two and Intension) and never gets anywhere. Jambi with it's immensly shitty riff throughout most of the song... their shifty, cross branching dynamics? Where did they go?

The whole album is set up gay... the songs are written in a gay matter... and it's just over all...

I'm sorry for so blunt but hey they were one of my favorite bands too, one that I could rely on for a good album all the time, but now can't because you fucking douches can't stop drooling over them.

Get over Tool so that maybe they'll stop fucking around and put out a good album. Not a decent one... Tool is too good for that. Tool is to good for 10,000 days, which is why I say halt you're purchase of the album and just download it and hear for youself what a huge joke this is.
