The new Tool album is a joke.

i dont think that its a bad album for what it has. i acually liked it, i just felt it was lacking content, not quality.

I haven't had the chance to even hear it yet, but I really enjoy Tool from time to time. Not my fav. band, but sometimes if I want to listen to something deep, I love EAnima(sp?) and most of Laterlaus, and a few on Undertow. A sweet band when you're sky high and really listen to the music.

So what makes it such a bad CD? No one has really said what it's like. All they've said is that it sucks. Is it anything like their usual stuff? I'm just curious, that's all.

You'd have to listen and decide for youself, dude. People keep asking me to explain how it sucks, but no one can explain how it's good either... so you're just gonna have to hear it for yourself. Like I said in my first post... Don't buy it right away, hear it first@!

i think ur a joke, the new tool album is pretty fucking good. adam's guitar work got a shitload better than from previous albums. rosetta stoned i think is the best song on the album, its obviously about some kind of bad trip and shows that they have a somewhat humorous side to their music. the song changes time signatures MANY times and has some pretty ill tabla in it. the pot, i dont see how anyone wouldnt like that, just listen to the bass in it its fuckin crazy. right in two has got to be one of their most meaninful (lyrically) songs ever.

After the second time he says that line... after the solo that follows... the part with the lyric "Leaving things out in the ground, trapped without a reason, leaving things out in the groundâ?¦ " is my favorite part of that song.

And there are a few parts in Rosetta Stoned that I thought were ok... "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!1" ect...

But I'm amazed at how everyone thinks this album is great... it's only mildly ok... it's listenable and far better then anything being shat out into the mainstream now, but damn Tool used to be elite... Not with this album.
