It's literally a joke, isn't it? I mean, it sounds like it... it's abysmal. Especially for a Tool album, it's REALLY bad. And Vicarious sounds like Schism reversed... gay. If you buy this album, you're not Tool fan... you're a Tool fan boy, and the band doesn't like you. The best part of the album is the mantra chanted during Intension and that's the only part Rating: 5

It took me a few listens to get into the new CD. I never hated it at all when I first got it, but I never got into it until a few weeks later. I can say that it is some of their best work and I can't get enough of it.

One thing that I don't like is all of the filler noise on the album. They have about 6 tracks that are actually songs, but the 11min aND 9MIN TRACKS make up for that (caps, sorry ) I just hate the tracks are nothing but 2-4min of noise. It's pointless, and unentertaining.

I love the second track on the CD, and Right in Two. Towards the end it gets so heavy, fast and crazy. I love how Tool can start out a song sounding like Pink Floyd, and end a track sounding like Slayerish, kinda.

Lost Keys and Rossetta Stoned are parts I and II of a story. Listen as if you were the man the doctor is speaking to, and the noise is whats going on in your head. The noise gets more complicated and louder as the people around you come into focus.

I didn't get it at first but when I did it was insane.

10,000 days is how long Maynards mother took to die and the songs "wings for marie" and "10,000 days" are about his mother.

I think "intencion" and "right in two" are connected to the same idea about the purely primitive part of man.

But aside from all the hidden meaning that seems to have been lost on some of even Tools biggest fans. I'm fairly surtain, that Tool doesn't care that you hate them. It's ART. They want the people who understand it to see it's beauty, and the people who dont understand it dont have to.

I'm doing this right now with winamp and windows media player at the same time. It fucking rocks. Is it possible that they did this on purpose? What other shit do they do that nobody notices?! I read somewhere that the four pictures of the band members from the 10000 days art are some kind of puzzle that once put together just makes ANOTHER puzzle.

i just got into tool and i like 10,000 days just as much as lateralus and aenima. i like it better than undertow. right in two, 10,000 days, and vicarious are great, and jambi and the pot are good as well.
