Meh, maybe I won't get the new album then. I'll admit, I'm not a huge Tool fan. I listen mostly to different types of metal--mostly death metal, so they're actually not even in the genre with most of my other favorite bands (Necrophagist, Bloodbath, Meshuggah, Cephalic Carnage, etc).

I have Ã?nima and like it quite a bit though. I'll still at least download this album, get my own opinion on it. So maybe in your eyes I'll just be a "Tool fanboy," but oh well. Personally, I don't think I could ever really get into Tool, because as I said, they're not really my style.

Of course, drumming along to the Ã?nima CD is definately fun.

Tool are my favorite band, one of the only bands I listen to these days as I'm mainly into drum and base. After all their previous albums bieng nearly flawless and then waiting for this one, then finally hearing it, well im fucking disapointed. It's a piece of shit, the overall production quality is far worse then I'd ever have expected from Tool.

Maybe it's a good thing when rockstars die young, at least their legacy can remain on without ruining it with a piece of shit like this.

I don't think tool made this album just for the money though, I think their skill as musicians has gone down slightly, well quite alot actually.

i agree, they didnt do this album just for the money. I can site this for two reasons. the first being this album cost 10$. the second being most bands (almost all) make their money from touring.

But what happens is now that their sucessful, they have had a freedom to experiment a little and when you experiment in music you always run the risk of making crap. I highly doubt they just said fuck it, we're famous and can make a half ass album.
