Topping is very easy to do, but should be done with razor sharp snips for an accurate cut.

You want to cut off the emerging growth shoots. You want to cut off about 80% of the emerging growth shoots, leaving the 20% in tact. Just snip the top of the plant.

What that does is it gives more energy to the side branches, and instead of one main cola, it should split off into 2 more colas. Doubling your yeild right there. Hope this helps.
