I am vegging a beautiful Cinderella99/Northern Lights right now, would LOVE to pull seeds from her, but guess I will have to settle for clones off her ... should be interesting, I never tried cloning before, but this strain has a reputation of very easy cloning ... I hope it's "dummy-proof" ... ..:smokin:

I HAD 6 FEMALE BLUEBERRY PLANTS. HAD BIG BEAUTIFUL BUDS. WEEK 6 OF FLOWER, THEY TURNED HERMIE, BRED THEMSELVES, AND I HAD TO KILL EM.

THEN FOUND OUT THAT THE CLONES I MADE OFF OF THEM, ALSO TURNED HERMIE,

I STILL HAVE 6 BABIES IN VEG STATE. IS THERE ANY CHANCE THEY WILL STAY FEMALE, OR WILL THEY KEEP GOING HERMIE?

I SEE NOW WHY THE GUY GAVE EM FREE WITH MY EBAY PURCHASE.

Anyway, no, you can't make a male turn hermie.. It pollinates even if theres nothing to pollinate.. It doesn't have to get pollinated.. blablabla..

So, adding my 2cents of confusion:
If you have a female, and don't have a male... it'll turn kind-of lesbo. Later during the night, one of those females might turn "hermie" on the other... and both of them will be able to make seeds... or so they think. But if you have a male, you really can't make it a hermie. Unless of course your genes go something like XXYXXYYXYYY... and the other one HAS to be XYXYXYXYXY.

The first plant I ever grew was back in High School under a halogen light. (Yes I know...stupid, but this was over 15 years ago, and I didn't know better. Not that I know better now since my current grow is only my second attempt.)

Anyway, a friend of mine tells me to add kool aid to the water and the plant will taste like kool aid when smoked. Back then, it sounded like the greatest idea. I forget what flavor it was... Anyway.

Being young, stupid, and impressionable, I added kool aid to the water I gave the plant.

In less than a week, at the lowest node, male flowers formed. Now this plant was 1 of 2 I grew, the other turning out to be a male. These male flowers grew faster than any other part of the plant and probably 10 times faster than the male flowers on the actual male which was thrown in the trash when I realized it was a male.

Long story short. Chopped the male flowers off and got about a sandwich bag's worth of weed from the plant when it was all said and done.

Funny thing was, that my friends said it was the best weed they ever smoked. How bout that?
