i was bored yesterday and decided to try
and make some hash.
i got one whole fresh plant and cut the buds
and put em in a jar with ice cubes and ice cold water.
i shook it up for a long long time then shook it some more
i put it back in the freezer and fell asleep
i woke up to a frozen weed pop.so i let it thaw.
a few hours later i could see like dust or dirt on the bottom
so i removed the weed that was floating and siphoned
the water out fishtank style.when the water level got near
the sludge at the bottom i just left it alone
it is there right now
what should i do

I have absolutley no idea....If all its green sludge its likely got lots of veg mater in it...If its kinda trichome colour...yeeh you get the picture......I dont think you can make ice hash that way.

Heres what i would do. I would get a muslin cloth or even a stocking sthretch it over the top of a bowl and strain. The water should have nothing in as THC is not water soluble.

Dry the gunk that comes out the sludge and smoke

But thats only what i would do, I wouldnt have put it in with ice and water anyway, unless i had bubble sacks

Normally to make hash you get the weed, freeze it so the THC gets hard and brittle, then you get the weed out, still frozen though, and siv it through a silk screen. About 10- 15 % comes through by weight.

Then you get the powder, put it through a tea strainer, then put it in a celophane wrapper, like you get on cigs, pack it in tight, tape it up. Then put paper around it, and tape it up again. Soak in hot water and put it in a pre-heated oven for 10 mins. Take it out and roll it on a hot surface, applying enough pressure to compact the trichs.

Pop it into the fridge to cool down and you have made hash. If you wanna make it even more compact you can soak it again and repeat the process, but its best to only do it twise.

I think the only thing you can do is to strain it, and then let it dry up.

When you have the dryed trichs, put it in a celophane wrapper and do what i said up there.

It wont be as pure though, because im guessing too much plant matter got through. That doesnt mean it wont be very nice though!
