i dont see how that is sexist. He's not gay so obviously he's not gonna marry a guy. I think what he meant to say was if a chick was exactly like that guy, then he would marry her, or that that guy possessed the qualities that he looks for in a women. no, you're right, it was not, because preferace is preferace, and in no way an insult to others, however it CAN be insulting to people regardless of how it was intended to be interpreted.
