Stonedpenguin, I know exactly what you're saying! I don't pray, either, because I don't believe in God. My dad died 3 days after 9/11. I remember thinking, "I don't care what happened to those ppl in NY, my dad just died!" I didn't even think about the tremendous tragedy of that day until monthes later when I realized that we have to care about others to stay human. No matter how much it hurts. Because when we stop caring because of the pain it causes us, we stop feeling. And when you stop feeling you might as well be dead. If there is evil everywhere we have to do what we can to care about others or evil doers will take over the world. And evil tries to take over the world every day.
