i see what youre saying. people die every day and it goes unnoticed. every time i hear of a death anywhere around the world i pray to myself. i dont pray to any god or jesus or anythin like that. i do it in my on way, and beg that this stops. BUT, just because ppl die all the time, it doesnt mean that each life is any less precious, it doesnt mean that this senseless wasting of lives should stop NOW..

The whole idea of taking away someone's entire life and taking away their future is just so unbelievable to me. Not to mention the feelings of the parents/siblings/friends of the victim. I could never do anything like that without becoming completely blank on the inside.

I wish people had more respect for their own species. Every fucking day it's the same thing. Terrible world we live in. I can't even contemplate what would be going on in the killer's heads.

i think, at least i hope, i understand what hes trying to say.. i think he just needs to rethink what he said.. true, people die every day and it goes unnoticed, but when somethin happens and its in the media theres a big outcry, but where were the media when a little girl was raped and killed in new york? where were the media when an indian girl and boy went missing in england??.. but, i think hes wrong by sayin that he doesnt care.. u should care, about every life thats lost, or we're gona b stuck like this for a long time.. everyone needs to care, and i mean EVERYONE, before anythin can be done..

but i also would like to know what you meant by "ppl die in worse ways"?? 9/11 was probably one of the worlds worst disasters, with the exception of world war 2... how do people die in worse ways than that? when is the death toll higher than that but goes unnoticed?

how do you pray if you dont pray to anything? cuz like when i use to belive in god and i would pray i would pray and talk to him but if you pray to nothing then what is the point of the pray? so that just didnt make sense to me, and i agree ppl think lives are expendable, when they really are not. but i just think its not right that just because so many ppl die we need to make a deal of it,

Stonedpenguin, I know exactly what you're saying! I don't pray, either, because I don't believe in God. My dad died 3 days after 9/11. I remember thinking, "I don't care what happened to those ppl in NY, my dad just died!" I didn't even think about the tremendous tragedy of that day until monthes later when I realized that we have to care about others to stay human. No matter how much it hurts. Because when we stop caring because of the pain it causes us, we stop feeling. And when you stop feeling you might as well be dead. If there is evil everywhere we have to do what we can to care about others or evil doers will take over the world. And evil tries to take over the world every day.

I know it doesn't make sense to you. It doesn't make sense to me when people pray to God because I don't think he exists.
