i believe you are both right i just feel that DFG is saying that you can still use twhat you have but it's better if you get more of them to increase your light area. you want to make sure all leaves are at the ability to perform photsysthesis. One light will only cover the top of the plant and not extend to the rest of the leaves, PERFERBLY you would want a better light source like HPS,LPS, or MH bulbs which require more power and create more heat and obviously more expensive. I chose a CFL system because i'm poor and i am only dealing with a few plants, limited space, and i'm a new grower. Maybe later i'll get something better
GrowinGreen23 Reviewed by GrowinGreen23 on . HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ABOUT... 1) Using miracle grow potting mix with continuous realease plant food? 2) Using a 2,700 lumen (42 watt) CFL-like bulb (does not label itself as CFL on package but is similar to other CFL's) for 1 sq.ft. of coverage? I have checked the FAQ's for answers to these questions. Rating: 5
