Im saying that pound for pound a gorilla has more muscle than a polar bear. If a 135 lb chimp did a one handed dead pull of 1260 lbs which is roughly 10 times its own weight then what would a 400-500 lb gorilla do??. The way that they are structured gives them extreme leverage

I get what your saying, the 1200lb polar bear can support his own weight so he has to be stronger than the 400lb gorilla, I get it. BUT gorillas are not structured the same way a polar bear is. I highly doubt a polar bear has as dense muscles and bones like that of a chimp or gorilla. The way they are built gives them this massive strength and all I was saying is that I thought a 400-500 lb gorilla would get all my money placed on him based on the fact that they are built for power and strength....


Since there is no REAL way to prove this theory I dont see a reason to argue it to death, especially with you tadaa... Ive read your posts and I have to say you are a very stubborn person and im assuming that you HATE to be wrong especially after you have tried to prove that you are right....

Fight This may sound dumb but my class had an argument over this question if a Bear and a guerrila where found in nature together if you put them say both in a cage who would win if they got in a fight lets say its one of the strongest bears and one of a strong guerrila sorry i dont know all the differnet types but say black bear and a strong guerrila who do you think would win i think that the guerrila would i just want to know who you guys think would win and also if you have heard this question Rating: 5

I will add a few more things how many kick ass movies where made about bears beside bernstein bears and those other movies King Kong Congo showed me those animals aint no pussies even though both were fake point is if you have say a 400lb bear vs a 400lb gorilla i think the gorilla would win i wasnt really takin into consideration all the strength i am thinking bout the fact of bulletproof chest the gorillas have and bears have fur so what if its not bulletproof it might as well be cause i think gorilla would throw good hits and the bear would may not be able to react fast enough

If you saw a 400lb gorilla standing next to a 1200lb bear you'd change your mind. And just realize that half the deadlift stories by chimps are myths. There has never been a scientifically documented deadlift by a 135 chimp pulling 1260lbs with 1 hand.


Think about it, that makes no sense lol. In theory then the 135lb chimp could lift about 2400lbs with both hands. Now multiple that by 4 and you're saying that a 450lb gorilla could pick up a Hummer over its head and throw it Don't believe everything you read dude. Think it out.

I guess itd depend on the weapons the guerrilla had. A bear would tear an unarmed guerilla to shreds

Depends on what type of bear. If it were a grizzly I'd definitely bet on the bear. Look at the size of this thing. Gorillas max out at about 400lbs, a grizzly can get up to 1500lbs. Plus the gorilla really has no weapon except for its muscles, a grizzly has the claws on its front paws that would shred the gorilla. Serioulsy, a gorilla would do nothing more than piss off the bear.

There is no such study, but you're probably right. A 1500lb bear is too big for any land animal to kill.

equal sized adult bear and same gender and as the gorilla - then a bear is a much instanaeously deadly animal..

A gorilla would likely bleed to death as a result of a single exchange with a bear.

cool link this leans towards the grizzly beating the polar bear most of the time. anyway bears own all other land animals except humans(most of the time)
