Space BlanketI'm using them on my box, real cheap stuff, and mighty reflective.

Space BlanketDoes your space blanket crinkle? Or do you have it taped down really well? Mine is crinkling as the oscillating fan hits it. I have it taped on the sides (it's the back "wall" of my grow space), except for the bottom 12" or so, to let the air flow through the area.

The sound is not a bother to me, but when we have guests... I guess I could turn the fan off for a few hours.

Anyway, you're right... Ultra cheap compared to mylar, and great reflection.

Space Blanketspray on glue like yellow 77 works to stick it to the wall.

The space blankets you are talking about are mylar. The same mylar used by growers. It just comes in sheets and not rolls is all.

Space BlanketThanks Z, that's good to hear. I just messed around with it and anchored it better, so it is less crinkly. But the spray glue is a great idea.

Space BlanketI wish I had known about that glue a couple of months ago ... I tried a few different glues, spray-on and otherwise, none would stick to my Mylar ... well, I guess I'll know next time ... :smokin:

Space BlanketI used elmers glue with a small paint brush to apply it, and a credit card to smooth out some of the crinkles, I also used foil tape to cover some spots and to seal the edges. I had to work fast when I did that, so I had everything measured and cut before I started. Its working out pretty good so far.

Space BlanketGoogle for "space blanket", there are quite a few sites, both US and UK. I found mine at an REI, which is a store for outdoor camping and survival equipment. They were less than $5 each
