    SCROG

Hi everybody... I was just reading about the scrog growing method. I understand that a screen with about 1" holes is appropriate. But has anyone ever tried using the plastic bird netting? I think it's called BirdX. The holes are maybe 1/2".

I think the holes are to small to get a branch with buds or even some leaves through. The idea to hold back the plant and plastic will not hold back the plant. There is not enough girth in the plastic. The plant would push it outward more then the plastic hold back the plant and control the grow. I have my fish pond covered with it to keep birds and cats out of my pond but it's week

I hear you Zandor... based on your experience, I see that it would not be a good barrier (for want of a better word) for scrog. I am always looking for solutions that work for me with a 2-seater coupe. Can't fit chicken wire into it, but I wondered about the bird net.

    Thanks for your help!
