superthrive...anyone use this stuff?
it's not a fertilizer, it is a mixture of vitamins and hormones that clamis to be the best product on the market for trans/planting, cloning, revival, etc. it also claims to double a plants growth rate and yield. i have been using it for two years on my regular yard bushes with great results, but i think i'm going to give it a try with my, err...non-regular yard bushes. it is a little spendy at about 10.00 per 6oz. bottle but you use a drop at a time, so it lasts. has anyone used/heard of this product?

i use it or a similar product (check your nursery for a 'generic' version...much cheaper and works just as well) every time i transplant...whether from pot-pot or pot-ground. but unless your plants are stressed or having other probs i don't think ya need to use it on a regular basis...

yeah del...i've been doing fine without it...but, the claim to double yields and growth rates peaked my interest. although, i put little stock into a products claims or "garautees", i'm willing to try it if i think it has any chance to even come close to honoring its claims.
seems to me it's kinda like steroids for your plants...flushing should take care of any residuals.

yeah, i did it once too. added a large dose (i've added much more than directions call for without any probs) at least once/month...the ones that were getting the s.t. treatment did get a lot bigger but most of the extra growth was in the leaves, not the flowers. it caused a helluva lot more trimming and added a strange flavor...
good luck with your experiment

where the heck do you get this stuff at? i can't find superthrive or upstart or anything anywhere. maybe just cos it's november? i'm not ordering it online or anything... a bunch of places have powered rooting hormone, but that's not what i want.

its amazing stuff. i used to work in a grow shop and we sold buckets of the shit.
i dont trust any hormone that doesnt state all the ingredients though. theres too much dodgy shit out there, trade secrets be blowed.
