$65 per quarter tends to be high. Most dealers can get away with charging $50/ quarter of mids in just about any market (yes, even you in California), provided the buyer has limited access to other dealers.
You also need to keep the following in mind: do you *know* you can get a quarter for less right away? If not, then buy the quarter and keep searching out for lower-priced dealers. Also, if this dealer is consistent, honest and fair, then that is worth paying $65 per quarter, since you would have to bust your ass for over a week to find, and score from, a dealer who is less consistent but is willing to sell you the same amount for $40 per quarter- that is if he ever comes through.
In my experience, it is worth it to pay more if your dealer is consistently stocked and doesn't fuck around with you, such as, "front me the money and I'll get you some next week". Also, having one who is available to deal anytime and is close to you is also worth paying more.
Remember, just because you find someone who will charge you less money doesn't mean it won't cost you more.
Get the back, smoke it, enjoy it, and keep looking for other sources to find the best, most consistent dealer who works to meet your needs.
