cab cooling idea. whadya think?

It may be that im a little stoned but I think I might of just had a decent idea that might be worth a try. A lot of people have problems cooling there cabs. I was thinking that maybe a small mini-fridge with a circular hole cut in the side with a dryer duct running the cold air into the cab using the back pressure of a computer fan. Would this cost tons in electricity? Would it help cool the cab enough to be worth it? Give me some input. definately a shot in the dark.

As to the fridge idea, I would think that it's going to burn out. The fridge system will cool... and try to keep cool, and cooler.

But you're trying to operate it from hotter, to hot.

I DON'T KNOW... it's just my opinion... but I think and a/c unit would be better.

But hey man! Kudos for thinking new ideas up! That's what it's all about... :thumbsup:

I had to tease, but a fridge is a fridge, not an air conditioner, and like you suggest, it would run constantly, the electricity would be high $$$$$, and probably hard on the fridge unit ...
I know plants develop best around 75-78 degrees, BUT ... I cant help but wonder how these marvelous plants have thrived all these centuries with outside weather and temps being all over the map ... boy, Mother Nature sure must be dumb, its a good thing she has Man to correct her mistakes ... its a WEED !!!! ...

Ya but mother has other way's to cope we still don't understand. Its not a matter of growing some but growing the best you can. Understanding the little things about this plant is how we produce more of this plant the ever thought of before. That's why some get 3 pounds from a single plant and others get only a few ounces.

You are right about the fridge though not a good idea. The cost is way more then buying and using a window AC or portable unit.
