Did some reading and now I know how to tell which plants are male and which are female. But didnt learn this until recently, after plants started to bud prematurely (I think)...I had to move the plants (grown outdoors) to a darker section of the outside to prevent detection from visiting relatives for a few days. As a result some of the taller plants, 10-14 inches started to bud. I now have the male plants and female plants in separate planters (I think). In some mssgs I read that the male plants are destroyed and in others not. Also, after sexng nowhere does it say what to do..i.e. separate them, destroy them, what, and why? My questions are as follows:
1. Why is it important to sex your plants?
2. What happens if they are not sexed and/ or separated?
3. What happens next...i.e. separate the plants, destroy the male plants & why?
4. Will potency increase by having them flower and then reverting back to veg.?
5. How do you know when plants are ready for harvest? please answer for both male and female plants
