Even if the tat isn't a recognized symbol, it can still have meaning and substance. Even if it's just a flower, it can serve as a reminder of a certain time in someones life. I got a generic tribal tat (which a lot of people hate) not just because it looked cool, but because it was a record of a period in my life I don't want to ever forget. Everytime I see it I'm reminded of experiances and friends that have long since parted ways with me. Someone can get a tat of a tiger because it reminds them of a family member or friend. Everyone is free to thier own opinion and i'm not downing yours at all (hope I don't come off that way). Just trying to explain why some people get thier tats :thumbsup:
