cocoa is cool stuff it has its own brand of nutrient its the stuff most of the dutch soil growers use as it holds water great but keeps the oxygen in.
cant really go wrong with it just one rule DO NOT PACK IT IN POTS it must allways be loose untill watered down then more added if you push it down into pots and add water it becomes too solid other then that its great.

I use bat guana tea every watering during veg (after the first two weeks). It's organic and doesn't burn. Three teaspoons to every 2 liters of bottled water, then let it sit overnight.
Then, cactus juice for flowering.

I grow indoors with limited vertical height, so my use of veg fertilizer is rather limited. If you are growing in a space with limited vertical height (4 feet or loess grow height), I don't think you should worry too much about it. Just about any liquid fretilizer will do the trick: FoxFarm, Ionic, General Hydroponics, etc. You just want to make sure you use something you are comfortable with. Don't be afraid of the water soluble ferts and leaving the soil neutral.
I grow in a Waterfarm now and I don't have to worry about stuff like soil composition and aeration and the like.
Good luck!
