Jamaica ROCKS. Negril area is less commercial. Kinston,the island's crime haven is on the total opposite side of the land mass.
I have been there 10+ times,....never hastled once, but I have heard many urban legends.

Use common sense, you will be safe.
Believe me, there are tons more dangerous places right here in the USA.

For a goofy, white American kid who looks like he couldnt hurt a fly but LOVES to smoke pot and chill out and loves reggae and the whole Rastafarian way of life is Jamaica a good place? I've heard, yeah the weed is good, but they're in some major economic troubles and are pretty poor and you can get seriously fucked up (mugged, ripped off or worse) pretty easily especially if you look like an American with money. Sure its no Amsterdam, but how does it compare...whats it like? Clue me in Rating: 5
