    Help! it just rained and...

Help! it just rained and my little seedlings are under 6 inches of water i checked em today and they looked perfectly healthy except for the fact that they are underwater, I mean I put them as seeds straight in the ground so they arnt floating or anything, how long will they last under there before they die!

If they're inundated, then yes, they will rot.

I've had similar problems with water and low lying areas.

Believe me, I can tell you about low lying areas..

The best thing I can say is hope the ground soaks up some of the water, or it evaporates soon. Does the soil contain too much clay -- too compact?

If they're really important you can try pulling them and the soil around them up, then transplanting in an area with a slightly higher elevation [ mounds of dirt, for example ].

they will die most likly, first off even if the water drains well and the soil is really soggy most plants tend to get root/stem rot expecially if they are tiny seedlings.

    Just go get the shovel.

the water evaporated and i checked them, all of em bit the dust I can never get my plants past the seedling stage! something weird always fucking happens like an animal eating them or mysterious disapearing seedling, or the stem breaking haha i think ill wait till i get my own house.
