Does purple haze exist?

in fact purple Haze was a type of Acid back in the Day, and the name came up when Jimmy wrote about it.

I remember reading about that in Wikipedia.

The title is sometimes confused as a drug reference, specifically to LSD. One rumor of the the song title's derivation comes from a dream Hendrix had, where he was walking under the ocean, surrounded by a Purple Haze. Another is credited to a Native American myth told to Jimi by his Indian grandmother.

In reality, the phrase "purple haze" came from a science fiction novel Hendrix was reading at the time, written by Philip Jose Farmer. Originally the song was titled Purple Haze - Jesus Saves and featured an extended verse where Jesus saved Hendrix from the Purple Haze. This was later changed due to fear of a possible backlash, for the use of Jesus in the song.

well you can make almost any Strain Purple, just Put the weed (While Growing) in a colder place for about a half of day, and you well notice some purple. Allot of people well call it Purple Haze, or whatever simply because it has the color of purple in it.

no such thing for u and me mate sorry its basicly any dealer who has weed that has a purple ting then allways seem to claim he has pruple haze in stock in reality its just not true.....myth beleive me

yes there iz a strain called purple haze,i have bought it many time,s...there r quit a few strain,s with purple in the name, and most of them will kick azz...all the club,s here have it...and the bud,s a a bright purlple ,all the way 2 the stem<<<pueple haze, purple grandaddy , purple erkel, and many more...and most of them r very purple...:rasta:

To be honest, Ive only had Purple Haze once. It was bloody gorgeous and got me hammered so quick. You can make it at home easily with just £40. All you do is get a bottle of red aftershock, a bottle of blue aftershock, and mix a shot of each together.

According to the Cannabible their was a strain called Purple Haze back in the 70's . Apparently it wasn't very good, however, so people stopped groing it and the strain died out.

There does appear to be a new Purple Haze strain, however. Many of San Francisco's medical-marijuana cannabis clubs sell it. These places are pretty legit and offer lots of different strains so it's not like it's just some dealer giving his weed a fancy name to jack up the price. From what I understand it is not a Haze at all but a cross of Purple#1 and something else.
