Dry Hitting Problem?

My friend and I were dry this weekend so I decided to scrape all of the pipes (4). After getting high off resin, I began to dry hit the pipes. Even though I had completely gotten all the resin out of it, I was still getting big rips of smoke when I'd stick the lighter into the bottom of the bowl. When I did this I would hear a whistling sound. I was really high from the resin so I am not sure if the dry hits got me any higher. I actually began to wonder if my dry hits were really cannabis or just the flames from the lighter. So I'm here to ask if it is possible to just smoke the flames from the lighter and breathe out smoke. I am scared that this is what is happening and I don't want to risk my health by smoking lighter fluid.

Well, you're probably burning up some left over resin, and that's creating the smoke. You're getting a lot of fumes from the lighter though, and that's not too good for ya.

Bic's run pretty clean actually.. if anything you'd risk inhaling some super heated flame air as you're not actually smoking anything.

I don't envy the dry hitter... I think we've all been there

i hate being at the srcaping stage i try to save weed so much. only thing i smoke is g-bongs because it realeases all the smoke from the weed and gets you mad high. but the down side is that there anit alot of reas to smoke.
