Points Transfer?

I got pulled over in west verginia and virginia and i live in south carolina. do points carry over to my licence in south carolina or dont minor trafic violations transfer over like that so the points would only count if i got a licence in virginia or WA? I was told that minor trafic violations arnt sent to other states so points wouldnt be added just to send in the fine is that correct?

I think your right. Your home state will not add points from another state but your insurance company will.

but doesnt your insurance company go by the number of points on your licence? i dont have a licence in virginia or west virginia

It depends, some states wont issue you a license if you had a bad record in another state. Just gota check up for your individual state.

Myth is right. If your driving license is revoked in one state, most other states will deny you the privilege. My girl is an insurance agent and I ran this past her, and with all her skills at side stepping I came to the conclusion that insurance companies suck. They look not just at points, cause some tickets have no points. They even rely on you to tell them the truth about prior tickets. Fuck that.

i have a liscence in nj, i got a few tickets in pa for speeding and street racing the total points were 9 from both tickets, only 2 points off each ticket carried over to nj...i know in nj if you get a ticket outta state only 2 points max carry over
