Cutting yourself???

When I got caught with bud at my school I had to go to an awarness and intervention class for people who use/drink. We had to watch a couple retarded videos and in many of them they showed people who would get high and like cut themselves and break shit and fight and cry, I thought it was pretty fucked up. I personally have never seen or met anyone who got violent or crazy-emotional when high. Have you?

no.but i do know quite a few people who cut themselves.

No not really. Though I do feel that if somone has a serious mental health problem that weed may help them let go, and if cutting yourself or whatever is your only way of doing this then maybe.

Probebly just scarelore though to try and put you off weed.

I knew this one girl who never used to smoke weed. She said she didn't like what it did to her. But she had her own apartment and I was 16 at the time, so anywhere I could go to smoke where their weren't any parents was cool with me, even if I didn't really like her. Anyway, after a while of her not smoking we finally got her high. She started smoking weed regularly, buying it all the time. Because at the time I was still in school, I used to go round alot with my mates for a smoke, but there was something wierd about her that I didn't like. She was slightly eccentric, possibly schizophrenic. One day, I left my jacket and some weed at hers the day before, so I went round to get it. She was at home alone smoking a joint, totally high. She started telling me how much she liked me and how much she wanted to get with me, etc. I just kinda laughed, but then she asked if I felt the same. I told her no, I have a girlfriend. Then she went kinda mental. Like something inside her snapped. She started throwing stuff around, punching stuff, smashing all her shit up. I didn't know what the fuck to do, coz all of the people I hang with are cool, you know, they're not like that, so i'd never been in that situation before. anyway, i decided to walk out because I was high and she was blowing my buzz, and I didn't even know what was wrong.. I went back an hour or so later and she was lying on her bed, wearing nothing but a t-shirt, and cutting her legs with a pair of scissors.. I totally panicked, took the scissors off her, phoned her friend and waited for her to turn up then left and never went back

i thinks its a shame when people will cut themselves. But I guess some people just like to scar themsleves up because it somehow feels good?? I don't understand it at all.

I've spoken to a few people who do it or have done it, or that know people that have done it.. and no matter how many people I speak to, no matter how many different reasons, excuses or explanations for it I hear, i'll never understand it

I don't know why ppl cut themselves, I do understand the feeling of pleasure from pain, though,...like the "good" feeling of being tattoed. That girl sounds like she has more issues than cutting herself, but I'm no psychologist. Has anyone seen the movie "Secretary"? It's very sexually charged but the most important part of the movie is that Lee has just been released from a mental institution because she cuts herself...which leads her into the whole relationship with her boss. Anyway, I think it has something to do with being in control of your life and enjoying the pain of cutting...some ppl get a high feeling from physical pain.

maryjanemama, you're right.. Getting almost a "buzz" from the feeling of cutting yourself is an excuse i've heard.. I also know people who have admitted that it's a cry for help.. also people do it for attention, to get back at someone, to hurt someone, that kind of thing.. but like I said, i'll still never understand it


i've known some nice people who secretly or openly cut themselves. No matter how nice they are, there must be something wrong if they do that. I'm not saying there's something wrong WITH them.. but there must be a cause, that should be sorted out before they do themselves some serious harm. I worry about people that do it, sometimes it seriously frightens me.

for all of you who have had to go to some shit on drug "abuse" let me tell you that almost everything they tell you is a lie and is just propaganda to scare you, noone gets high and robs a bank or kills the people they love, noone smokes and then jumps off of a sky scraper, people do however get high and watch powerpuff girls or aqua teen
