On the top of the page go to "User CP".........On the left side is your "Control Panel" settings....go down the list under "Miscellaneous" and you'll find "Buddy/Ignore Lists"....just add in the name and it's like they are wiped off your board.

Easier yet, just bring up the persons profile and on the line under their name is "Add to Buddy List" and "Add to Ignore List"...just give it a click.
