yay sorted the problem in thoery (sp i know)

it could be nothing but why take a chance. i'm a worry wort about these things though. i don't mean to make you nervous, just get it checked so you have peice of mind. i hope it turns out to be fine, i have heard that some ballasts do humm louder than others. suprisingly, i only used 1 ballast my whole life(repaired several times at the hydroshop) and i could just have just got lucky and had a really silent one so that is why the buzz you talk of made me nervous. good luck.

justaseed Reviewed by justaseed on 04-19-2006. yay sorted the problem in thoery (sp i know) ok i had big problem witht he heat coming off the hps setup i got mainly because the fucking ballast buzzing too loud, the heat, needing more money to buy an extractor fan and hope no noise............IM SUCH A DUMBASS i didnt realise i could just buy a £20 envirolite 125w and run that with the 4ft 58watt tubes (x2) and x3 24w normal cfls this would provide more then enough light right? plus the ehat is not gonna be so muhc a problem and i can now because there no need for exernal ballast Rating: 5

ok i called the growshop i thought my growing partner baught the b allast from.....i walked about 5 miles today carrying on of those fucking ballast its heavy as fuck and it hot a hot day....anyway i get there and as im pulling it out the bag the guy says "thats not the ones we sell mate" im like ffs im at the wrong place...any turn out in short in need to get £50 fr a new silent ballast damnit
