Ive been on the pill for 6 years now and had no problems. Tried the depo jag once but the side effects were so bad I came off it right away - greasy hair, terrible moods (crying/angry all the time) weight gain, bad skin.......

All girls are different... Girls can ovulate at different times each month. And it can change slightly from month to month. There are no 'exact' or 'set' days when it's safe to have sex with or without protection. Yes, ovulation follows a general schedule, but this cannot be used as the safest way. It's never safe to have sex without some form of contraception, whether it's the pill, shot, or a condom at ANY time of the month.

The rhythm method, as you're describing, heavily relies on whether a woman has a regular period every month. Many women do not. I've seen from different info that it's only 87-92% effective. Sure you may not have any problems right now. But what about 25 years from now. Or are you planning on dying soon. Women who take the pill for long periods of time can become infertile. It takes years before they can become pregnant again. It causes weight gain and fucks with your thyroid. If the pill is your choice, so be it.
