Old skool for me is 1990, Ghost. Class of 1993!!! Um, let's see, I guess the most important thing would be the revolution in music from crappy hair bands (which I loved, so sad, but true) to the Seattle sound. Nirvana, Pearl Jam...everyone loved it, you have to remember there was nothing good to listen to in the early nineties. It was all MC Hammer, Firehouse (Oh, my God, they sucked), Wilson Phillips...and then, wham! Great music hit us like a tidal wave. All of a sudden we had Soundgarden and the Chili Peppers were on the radio, finally. I remember walking through my high school one morning and EVERYONE was talking about "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (which was actually a cheesy teeny bopper girl's deodorant from my day but Kurt Cobain took that name and made it a song). Anyway, I'm old skool in that I still listen to Pearl Jam and all of the rest as if it were still 1993. As far as I'm concerned Pearl Jam is better than ever right now...ooooh, Eddie...

When i was maybe 5 or 6 my biggest role model was my older brother. Because of him, i've grown up listening to Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Metallica, Chilli Peppers, that kinda thing.. I was 7 when Kurt Cobian did, and was in Miamia at the time.. Even as a 7 year old, who lived on the other side of the world, the death of Kurt Cobain hit me pretty bad, mainly because I wasn't old enough to understand it. I remember sitting by our pool and watching Kourtney Love giving a speech about Kurt on tv, with everyone lighting candles and stuff. It was nuts.
It's crazy though, how I used to listen to Pearl Jam when I was so young, and I still love their music today. Same goes for any of the bands I grew up listening to. I think I still know the albums "Ten" and "Vs" off by heart, to me they're the best Pearl Jam albums, but I haven't heard any of their more recent recent stuff..

I'm So Old Skool...
no that doesnt actually make me old skool at all....i wish i was tho
Yes memories of hip huggers, tie-dyed t-shirts,,,$15 lids(oz) cruizing in 69 GTO's, 67 Stingrays, strawberry micro-dot acid,,,chocolate chip mescaline... ~Sweet Memories~.
I also wish i had a time machine that did not alter my future.
And somewhere where the weed is plentiful and there are lots of lovely hot women sporting those hula dresses you see hawiiaan chicks wearing in films...and while im on the subject I would just like to say this place has no laws or boundaries and doesnt involve too much work other than growing food...which isnt really that hard...any way now you know what i wish for.....(for a short period of time anyway)

And my ultimate wish would be to have the 60's 70's 80's 90's there all over again so i could do some killa drugs with some groovy people and wear some of the coolest clothes fashion has ever seen. (60s and 70s clothes)
