house alarms
hey guys just wondering about house alarms. how do they work and shit. ive seen the little magnet things on windows and stuff, obviously if one magnet comes seperated from another the alarm goes off, but if a window or soemthing doesnt have one of these, are u safe to use it while the alarms on? even so, it would seem like if the glass on that window got busted the alarm would go off so it should when opened but i duno. just let me know what u guys think.

If you're worried about it, find the box and kill the phoneline. The alarm co might notice, but if the house doesn't pay for a service, no one may care.......why exactly are we wanting to break into this house again?

im not breaking in, its so my friend can get out lol. yea thats what i was wondering Bong30, mayb the entire house is somehow covered by a motion detector and if any window or door opens reguardless of if its connected to the alarm...i duno. i just dont want her to get caught the second she opens the window, will be her first time smoking and her parents are very anal so sneaking out is the easiest way, but dumb and sketchy i kno.

Have her do a test run and open the window a bit and see if anything happens. If so, then no big deal, it was an accident. If not, then have fun.

Getting out would be easy. Consumer alarms are very simple and rely on the suspect being a complete idiot to begin with. Just don't touch a window or door that is monitored and you'll be fine.

ive faced this problem before, it wasn't the alarm going off we had to worry about tho, it was that goddamned beeping it does when anything is opened that would warn the dude's parents we had to worry about. solution? put a pillow firmly up against the idiot box that actually gives off the noise, if the alarm isn't engaged (i.e. not going to trigger the real alarm process) and you block out that damned idiot box with a pillow, she gets out without being detected.... if it's the actual alarm you have to worry about, forget this post entirely... oh yea, i wouldn't advise trying to unplug anything... we tried that, all it did was give us a headache and two suspicous parents (the alarms went off...)

see if the window has the magnets...if it doesnt, your in the clear. dont, i repeat DONT go out a door. Most likely all the doors are gonna be wired.
edit: oh, and dont worry about motion sensors, those are only used if you press "away" on the key pad. when you press"stay" its just the magnets, wired doors, glass breaking etc.

I have to wonder... wouldn't a member of the household have the code to begin with?
