    White Lighters- Bad luck?

There is no such thing as "luck". There is randomness, and there are the laws of physics. Everything operates predictably according to the laws of physics, except where quantum events cause randomness to seep in, such as with nuclear radiation; we can't predict exactly when a particular molecule will decay, but we know it has a certain chance of decaying over a certain time period. Anyways, this randomness has absolutely no knowledge of good and bad, which are central concepts in the idea of luck. "Good" and "bad" are subjective terms, and I don't see how a "bad luck energy field" around some unlucky object could possibly read your mind to see what you think is good and what is bad.

In fact, where do you think that expression CAME FROM?

Second, iliteracy is the inability to read or white, and clearly everyone here is capable of that. Perhaps you need to buy yourself a dictionary.

Yeah, to recap, you an asshole, and not very bright.
I guess I almost have to respond. All answers from answers.com if you want to verify. First off, the topic was never whether crows are unlucky or not, but rather "eating crows". As for the expression and where it comes from:
    eat crow
Also, eat dirt or humble pie. Be forced to admit a humiliating mistake, as in When the reporter got the facts all wrong, his editor made him eat crow. The first term's origin has been lost, although a story relates that it involved a War of 1812 encounter in which a British officer made an American soldier eat part of a crow he had shot in British territory. Whether or not it is true, the fact remains that crow meat tastes terrible.
As for illiteracy, well, like many words in English it's definition is not confined to a single meaning, but rather it has several uses. Thus in the following definition we can see that you're clearly right with regards to its first and most primary usage, but you've clearly failed to consider other meanings.
    il·lit·er·a·cy
    1. The condition of being unable to read and write.
    2. An error, as in writing or speech, made by or thought to be characteristic of one who is illiterate.
    3. The condition or quality of being ignorant or unknowledgeable in a particular subject or field: cultural illiteracy; scientific illiteracy.
So in a little recap of my own. Bright? I'm like a fucking supernova drowning out the light of a thousand suns. Hope you enjoy the taste of crow, you illiterate bastard!

Hummm...i've never heard of any lighter being bad luck till now, lol....I'm not really into beleiveing superstisions, etc. But..I'll just take ya'alls word for it and assume I shouldn't use white or yellow hehe. I normally don't have to worry - my fav. color is purple so I go for those first -- no bad vibes with those huh??
