calling electritions or anyone that knows abit
ok ok what i need to know is if i plug one of those plug in 3 way socket extensions in my wall then ran a 400w hps from it aswell as a tv dvd player and 2 heatmats ....... i know but im outta sockets in my area im sure some of you can relate..... so this plug socket says it is fused so if anything whent wrong with the light or any electrics the fuse would cut all the electricity out right? resuting in no fires?? ive included a pic of the socket extension so u know what im on about. i know they normaly r warned about not beeing safe but it says fused would that make a diffrence?

Is it surge proof?
I know that mine personally works, but then again mine is also a back-up power generator.
From what I know, the question really lies in the amps. If there are too many amps on the same circuit, you'll blow up. Well, sorta. Household circuits can usually hold about fifteen amps. 1000s usually have an amperage of about 9. I'd say your dvd player is anywhere between 2 and 6 (not sure though) and I'm also not sure about the amperage of the heat lamps. It should show it on the backs of them, though. If it exceeds fifteen, plug one of them in through a seperate grounded line, and it'll be fine.Mira el foto grande

ok cheers mate i appreciate the help also in the case of hps ballasts if one was to ""blow"" it would just spark abit right no actualy flames? so if i had a shelf on walll of growroom and covered the shelf with say a thing paving slab cut to size it would keep it fire safe?
also im sorry im not amp litarate lol so basicly it should be fine right? mmm saying plug one into a seprate ground line for less amps mmmmm should i just leave the dvd player out the socket? i dotn really use it much and got another downstairs anyway ...woudl that be better?
found out heat mats r about 3-5amp
thinks tv is about 5 amp (i think)

Then yeah, you might want to hook the dvd player into a seperate grounded line. Go to your circuit breaker and whatever one you're using for the lights, look at the amperage, it should say somewhere on the box. Make sure that there's not more amps going in than can safely go in. You would notice pretty quickly if it can't take it, assuming your circuit breaker's in order.
Yeah, flames won't come out. If it's a pretty good ballast, then hopefully the circuit breaker or some fuse switch would break the connection before even sparks though.
By the way, I just saw the last one, and yeah I think that'd work.Mira el foto grande
